IPHONE APPLICATION HOT PROPERTY
Tourism Auckland’s new iPhone application has proved a winner since its launch last month.
The innovative electronic guidebook allows visitors with an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch to hold travel information in the palm of their hand. The user-friendly iPhone application has more than 100 listings for Auckland events, attractions, activities, culture and heritage experiences, tours and i-SITE Visitor Centres.
Following a positive response from consumers Tourism Auckland is already working on an enhanced version of the application, which will feature a selection of hotels and restaurants.

Just saw this …
Down at the Canterbury Museum, early Māori artefacts in the Ngā Taonga gallery are being brought to life with the aid of augmented reality technology. When the viewer focuses on certain objects they become animated and the visitor sees a story about that object.
